Covid-19 Cancellation Policies:
- Customers who booked prior to the 24th March 2020 will be able to cancel or postpone their stay free of charge up to the day before arrival due to the impact of Covid-19. Bookings not cancelled or postponed prior to their arrival date will still be charged and will not be eligible for a refund.
- Customers who made a booking from the 25th March 2020 are bound by our original cancellation terms and conditions below. However, if the Scottish Government implement closure of accommodation providers over your dates of stay you will receive a full refund (minus the transaction fee £8).
- If you are travelling from anywhere outside of Scotland and are restricted by travel restrictions in your home country or countries your planning to travel through or you are required to quarantine on arrival and you have not canceled outside of the 30 day cancellation terms, your booking will be charged and no refund will be possible.
- We recommend you fully research the restrictions in place in your home country, the countries you intend to travel through and Scotland well in advance of your 30 day cancellation period. Please note that Firhall is not responsible for any travel arrangements of any kind. The onus lies with each guest to plan appropriately.
Direct Booking Cancellations: A valid credit/debit card is required to secure your booking. Your card must not expire less than one month after your stay is due to end. Payment for your booking will be taken using the card details provided 30 days or less, prior to your arrival. If you book with us you agree to the following cancellation conditions. Cancellations or modifications to your original reservation made 30 days or less before your arrival or in the event of a no show or booking reduction (before, on or after your arrival date) no refund will be given and the total amount for your full stay will be due. All prices shown include taxes where appropriate. Bookings over Hogmanay (New Year) from 30/12/20 to the 2/01/21 require payment at the time of booking and are non refundable.
Booking.com, Expedia & All Third Party Agents Cancellations: A valid credit/debit card is required to secure your booking. Your card must not expire less than one month after your stay is due to end. Payment for your booking will be taken using the card details provided 30 days or less, prior to your arrival. If invoiced the terms of payment will be due 30 days prior to arrival. All prices shown include taxes where appropriate. Four Third Party Partners working on an invoice basis, payments for bookings must be paid online no later than 30 days prior to arrival. If payment is not made before this time your booking may be cancelled and the rooms resold.
Payment methods accepted: We have a secure chip and pin reader on site and we can accept payment by cash, Visa/Mastercard/American Express credit and debit cards for any incidentals during your stay. We do not accept cheques or bank transfers.
Children: Firhall is an adult only bed and breakfast and so, children are not permitted to stay at any time. We do not have the facilities to accept babies, children or anyone under the age of 18 years and any party with a member under this age will not be permitted to stay, however the cost of your full booking will still be charged, should you arrive and attempt to check in with a child. Any additional accommodation you may have to book will be at your own expense.
Pets: Service dogs are permitted but unfortunately we cannot accommodate any other animals.
Smoking Policy: Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the property, we also kindly ask that guests do not smoke in the front garden either. This includes e-cigarettes, ‘vape’ kits or any other form of alternative smoking apparatus. There is a designated smoking area, please ask for details. Anyone suspected of smoking anywhere inside the property will be charged a flat rate cleaning fee of £100.00 plus any damages or deep cleaning charges required as laid out below, where applicable.
Tariff: We reserve the right to vary the tariff at any time.
Rooms: Whilst we endeavour to provide you with the room of your choice, we reserve the right to change room allocation to a room of the same or higher standard if required.
Damage to the property: On the rare occasion when damage occurs, by negligence or a deliberate action taken by you or those in your party, which directly or indirectly causes loss to Firhall Highland Bed and Breakfast, you agree to indemnify such losses, and that this forms part of the agreement at the time of booking. Losses include lost income, specialist expenses and the sourcing of alternative accommodation as necessary.
Food: No hot food is permitted in your room at any time. A flat rate cleaning fee of £100.00 will be charged should this condition be broken.
Breakfast: In the unlikely event of illness of the cook, we reserve the right to offer a buffet breakfast of cold foods only.
Check in & Check Out: Please note that check in is between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Late check ins between 7:00pm and 10:00pm will incur an additional charge of £20 per person. Check ins after 10:00pm will not be admitted but will still be charged and you will need to find alternative accommodation, at your own cost. Check out is between 9:00am and 10:30am on your day of departure. Late check outs are not possible.
Luggage: For those guests who are staying at Firhall Highland Bed and Breakfast and leave their luggage with us please note you do so at your own risk. Firhall is not liable for any loss or damage to your items.
Car Parking: There are a number of complimentary guest parking spaces at Firhall and we invite you to park your vehicles should you wish. Please note that you do so at your own risk. Firhall Highland Bed and Breakfast holds no liability for loss or damage to any vehicles on the premises.
By booking I hereby agree to these terms and conditions and I fully understand that any breech of them may result in accommodation being refused and the relevant charges being automatically debited from my card.
